Computer Science Immersion Academy

In 2018-2019, Heritage Elementary School became the first Computer Science Immersion Academy in Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD). Teachers and staff at Heritage work with the district to provide programs, lessons, and activities that incorporate standards in California Career Technical Education (CTE) and Career Ready Practice (CRP). Platforms used include Tynker, Lego Spike, Minecraft for Education, and VEX Robotics.

All students who attend Heritage will be part of the Computer Science Immersion Academy, learning programming, robotics, coding, and other computer programming skills as part of their daily instruction. Students may continue Computer Science Immersion at Fitz Intermediate for middle school.
